Seven pet care apps compared from their own listings: who can share one pet, what the free plan covers, which phones they run on, and where records live.
The best pet care app depends on how many people look after the pet. For one owner who wants a detailed record, 11pets and Household Pet cover a single pet for free with a full health log. For a household that shares feeding, walks and medication, Pawlo, Team Pet, DogLog, Household Pet, Canova and Dana are all built for more than one person, and they part ways on three things: what the free plan allows, which phones they run on, and whether the health record lives in the same app.

Which one fits your household?
You look after one pet and want every detail on record. Household Pet’s free plan covers one pet with the full health log, documents and co-owner sharing, and 11pets tracks the widest range of measurements. On 11pets, reminders and family members are Premium.
Everyone in the house has an iPhone and you want the daily checklist. Pawlo is free with nothing held back: unlimited pets and people, every task signed with a name and a time, and a warning when somebody tries to repeat a feed or a dose. It is iPhone-only today, with Android on a waitlist.
Somebody in the house carries an Android phone. That rules out Pawlo for now, and Canova’s Android version is a beta installed from outside the Play Store. Team Pet, DogLog, Household Pet, 11pets and Dana are all on Google Play.
You have a rabbit, a bird or a reptile. Dana covers dogs and cats only. Team Pet, Household Pet and Canova list other animals by name, and Pawlo says any pet.
